individuals, to fight the use of funding by NOAA to push the Catch Shares Policy.

Currently the fight is in The Gulf of Mexico, with a plan to introduct Catch Shares intot he recreational sector's
Charter fishermen. Though this is overwhelmingly opposed, a few loud and well funded voices are being heard
over the majority. What happens in the Gulf will likely be seen on the east coast in time.

Print out the permit for 2011 and make sure you check back on the site for the 2012 which is NOT on-line as of now. If you get an invite to shrimp these waters you will NOT think about this free permit requirement, so do it now.

These shirts are available in both short sleeve and long sleeve. The long sleeves are also going to "inked" but I do not have that proof as of today. Trust me, it is off the rails [the sleeves are "edgy"] too. We are breaking the mold for fishing gear. We are going into battle with a new flag on our backs.

The shirts will be with pockets for all long sleeve due to costs. But, by Feb seminar, I will have a run of no pockets for long sleeve.

The short sleeve shirts are being done some with pockets and no pockets...ideally, I want to carry both the short and long sleeve shirts with both pockets and NO pockets.

Everyone should really try to be there to at least create a standing room only show for these
council members. There will be a formal statement oppurtunity before the council, and also
meeting rooms for informal oppurtunities to pose your thoughts and get a little interaction with
the NMFS personal. At the formal comment room, that is just that, no Q&A, but you get to
hear all the formal comments given, and add your own if you wish.

Below is the scheduled discussion and what is being proposed. Some of the proposals are potentially
disasterous if approved, such as combining Groups for ACL's and AM's. The ACT's for Recreational
fisheries should not happen if they are not part of the commercial regulation. Opening wreckfish to

Their reasoning......The total allowable catch has already been met. Remember, it was only
4 month's ago the 2011-2012 season opened. And it opened with a greatly reduced bag
limit of 5 pp, down from 15 pp. With Accountability Measures reduced from the supposed
overage from last year, it dropped the TAC by only 20%. So how do we max out the limit
in only 4 month's??? Not possible. Is this a matter of gross incompetance on the part
of our fishery managers, or a deliberate manipulating of the numbers for a potential
move to push a more sinister agenda? Either way is smells worse than rotton fish!

Time to forward how you feel about this to your legislators, to let them know how you feel
about the gross mismanagement of OUR fisheries.
