Frankk, I can understand your concern, but I believe that they want a rigid net to insure the size of the opening. If I took my net off of the frame, I could stretch it to far beyond 16 sq ft. Although his net is collapsable, once deployed, the net has all of the same properties as a rigid frame net, and can't be stretched to beyond the 16 sq ft regulation. I am sure that others know more, but I would think you would be ok. I have been using a home-made collapsable net for several years now, and FWC has seen it, and not had any issues with it.

Frankk, your right!

Ron and the FWC have been romancing each other over his CFN net [collapsible]. The FWC attended the ISAA BBQ back in January, and they saw no problems with the CFN. Ron applied for a patent a few years ago via lawyers, and had to run the net by FWC, no problems. He has done all he can do to make sure he was not in violation of Florida law. It has been awhile since Ron and I had this conversation.....but the fact that the 2 sides have a rigid aluminum bar [top and bottom] [sides are rope] FWC has no problem. They possess one of this nets.

Just a word of caution here. The article does state "rigid frame". That would make me want to verify that the net meets the letter and spirit of the law. I have been subjected to many many net laws and rules. This makes me, uneasy to say the least, regarding the "collapsible" part. It's sort of an oxymoron like giant shrimp or naval intelligence. (no one on here knows admiral R B Crane do they?)
Anyway best regards,

Aloha John!

The website is "reelchicksfish.com" and I have doorway pages to route traffic to that reelchicks site:

LeeNoga.com
ShrimpLight.com

They are nothing but routing traffic over to the main site, you are most correct!

You will figure it out...Yuku is taking to long...they have a support site message board you can log on and ask....since you have a desktop and workable acct, I go there to ask questions...at bottom of page I have HELP ME LEE and in one of those topics I have a link to the support folks.

I have other friends stuck too, have 2 new ones that cannot log on...dunno what it is. But, I went to other Yuku sites, and the board owners have areas saying the same thing...go to support .... some have no problems, some have problems and this is every Yuku website not just mine.

There is a support link at top of board as well.....you should have heard something by now.....

YOU will overcome...

Aloha... I have compared all my settings between my desktop and laptop (OS, ISP Security and Java) with no luck. The only strange thing I did notice was that when I log into your leenoga.www site on the laptop, it initially will go to reelchicksfish.yuku.com/login/remote/d/leenoga.com where I enter my username and password and then it reroutes me to reelchicksfish.yuku.com/ and it shows your site but does NOT log me in... however, my desktop (that works correctly) does the same at first, but when I enter the username and password, it redirects me to leenoga.com and logs me into your site and I am ready to go!?!?! So there is something in my laptop settings that does NOT allow me to redirect to your leenoga.com site but rather it goes to the reelchicksfish.yuku.com link.

Hmmmmmmmmm...... I will continue to tinker while waiting for Yuku support to get in touch with me while watching this wreck-filled truck race on TV. ;-)

Hi Capt Lee... I'm writing from my desktop (between NASCAR races) since I still cannot get my laptop to properly log onto your site (I have a help ticket submitted to Yuku). Anyway, I was curious about these collapsible nets as I bought a next last year and made my own frame for it (frugal that I am!), but seem to recall that the maximum net size allowed by the state is 3x4 feet... however, the above collapsible nets look to be much larger than that?!

Is there a "technicality" about having a collapsible versus frame that allows for differing dimensions? Also, another question... it appears that I could convert my frame net into a collapsible one by merely removing the side pipes and making them a line between the top and bottom pipes. Is that a fair assessment? I ask because I must admit the frame is a pain in the buttocks to store on my little 13ft Boston Whaler. It would be awesome to be able to roll up the net during transport. I am constantly "tweaking" the...
