I timed this seminar with the best shrimping tides for a Saturday, this is NOT superbowl weekend. Yes, we will be selling our short sleeve and long sleeve shirts [limited in long sleeve], and hopefully our new camo hats, LED lights/NiteOwl and dipnets and CFN's [collapsible] nets, meet Ron O"Brian [hoping he can be there]. Many like to bring boat and launch for a shrimping evening, I will also be going out shrimping, the tides will go out at 8:40pm. SEMINAR TIME: Noon to dark, then we go shrimping same night, tide goes out 8:30pm Cost: FREE WHERE: 250 H.H. Burch Road Oak Hill 386-322-5133 GUEST Speaker: Capt Leo Hiles, legend and book author. Fishing the Flats. Feb 12th Seminar Signup Topic and Discussion: HANDOUT'S will be given out a) Setting up the kill zone with your lights, anchoring horizontal, finding shrimp veins. b) Equipment [making adjustable lines, weights, setups] c) Moon phases and locations d) Cleaning & freezing shrimp BREAKING NEWS: My dear friend and mentor, Capt Leo Hiles, Central Florida legion, icon and book author just called to "shock" me announcing he will be speaking/teaching "redfish & trout" in the flats at our seminar. He canceled a previous engagement to be my "valentine". I am overwhelmed at this surprise. I cannot breathe, I am so honored. I was so stunned I could not even answer his questions of what you would like him to teach you. He will answer your questions, or I can pick a topic he can teach due to the time constraints. I did respond with, "YES" please come...what do you want him to talk about? I did ask him if he would bring some books. If you fish the flats, you need this book. Capt Leo had over 400 people come to hear him teach last Saturday, and 200 were turned away due to fire regulations for the building. Who is coming? How many folks coming? Whatcha bringing? We are rallying together for a block party, I paid for a permit and we have the big pavilion and plenty of places to park your truck and boats etc. Who is coming & shrimping that night? Folks like to tow their boat to this event, and launch afterwards [tide goes out at 8:40pm, Oak Hill). I will be shrimping after the seminar. You will leave the seminar and go from skunk to a gallon+. I give away the farm, I share ALL my secrets, I hold back NOTHING. It is pure INTEL, back up a truck and of course, ya gotta be my Valentine Bring your brain and I will "limit" you out. If you have never attended one of my seminars, I do not play games and sell lures like guides do when they do free seminars. Those kind of seminars are "teaser's", Lee don't tease....I put it all out there. But, I have handouts and diagrams to give you, so you have something to refer back too. I fully understand....I had to pick the Saturday that had the best tides for the month...my other choice was 26th and that is to close to March, most good season is over [April smalls come into mix]...so "days" count...so I chose to risk Valentine weekend.
