I would like to thank everyone who not only showed up for the seminar, but also helped by pitching in.  These things always go so smoothly because of everyones willingness to help out.  It was a blast being with fellow forum members again.  I always look forward to our get togethers and they never disappoint.

Coming up US1 from the south, come through Port Orange, continue north into South Daytona.  About 1 or 2 miles into South Daytona, you will come to Big Tree Road.  There is a Wendy's hamburger joint on the north side of the intersection.  Take a right at Big Tree and you'll see the ramp called Veteran's Memorial Park just a short jog to the left when the road ends.

If you prefer to take I-95, get off at the Port Orange exit also called Dunlawton Avenue.  Come east until you get to US1, turn left and continue with the above directions.

Once you launch your boat, go north and hug the docks within about 15-20 yds and you'll have 6-8 feet of water.  Continue north for about 300-400 yds and you'll come to a channel which is marked with channel markers that will take you to the main channel of the ICW.  That side channel starts at a very large, fancy white house.  When you're in the main ICW channel, you're in the shrimping area that we have been getting them.  They have been between the bridge to the north of you and the bridge to the south of you.  You can either go near the group of boats that will already be out there throwing nets, or you can scout for yourself.  I would suggest that you start somewhere between channel markers 42 on the north end and 48 on the south end.
