Captain's Mate Posts: 516 01/26/12 08:45 PM - 6 Limits 2011	There is not a closed "season" ... but sometimes the river is closed to harvesting shellfish (clams/oysters) Also, there are closed areas.... it depends on where you are in the river clamming at....because of the way the water moves or doesn't move, or the amount of traffic and so forth either the clams or safe or not, and your either allowed or not allowed to take clams there.
